Most Whole Foods Mayonaise has Sugar. 90%

January 15, 2011
I was in my local Whole Foods today to get some mayonnaise without any sweeteners. I went through their 11 mayonnaise offerings and the first ten labels I read all had sugar or some sweetener in them.

The eleventh one, alas, had no sweetener! At least there was one.

But, the sad thing is that 90% had sugar

There is absolutely no reason to put sugar or any sweetener in mayonnaise. NONE.

To: Execs at Whole Foods  - This is pathetic!

The non-sugar mayonnaise was so expensive I decided to go home and make some myself. Never done it before. Made it in about 5 mins with one egg and a cup of oil and a few other ingredients - and i didn't put any sugar or honey in it and it tastes great! You can find recipes all over the internet, just don't add the sweet stuff.

Weight Loss, Tim Ferriss, Fruit and Sugar

If you have to avoid the natural sugars in fruit to help you lose weight, you'd better start reading labels for all the other sugars in regular foods that you'd never even think would contain sugar!

Here's a list of those words and ingredients.

I decided to look over their soup offerings in those boxes that hold liquids, as opposed to soups in cans. First one, Organic Chicken broth, sounds healthy. Bummer, it has sugar!

I don't get it. If they took the sugar out of the chicken broth, would they be worried that angry customers would be clamoring for them to "put the sugar back in, it's not sweet enough...

Sugar and it's Evil Partners

January 11, 2011

agave syrup
maple syrup
